Manchester United reportedly faces the possibility of a great deal of profit from cashing in Real Madrid’s turret target Alvaro Carreras.
The talented young Spanish left-back, now featured in Benfica’s books, has been impressed with many since leaving Man Utd.
Carreras didn’t get much chance with United’s first team while he was there, but he showed his potential at Benfica and now he’s got another big move.
According to Diario AS, this summer we have seen an interesting situation where Real Madrid is about to sign Carrera, but they may have to do business with United.
The report explains that the Red Devils have a buyback clause of just 18 million euros for Carrera, so they can quickly sell him to Real Madrid and deposit profits of 30-35 million euros in the bank.

United might be very wise to cash in on Carrera and use that money to strengthen it elsewhere, but in some cases they just bring him back to Old Trafford anyway.
The 22-year-old is clearly a top talent if a big club like Real Madrid wants him, but United could definitely benefit from bringing him back.
Patrick Dolgue joined MUFC in January and had no more compelling start, but Luke Shaw has been suffering from injuries for a while.
Real Madrid is certainly more attractive now than Man United
Still, Carrera may not be keen to return to United after being given no chance in the past.
Plus, there’s also the obvious point that Madrid is a much stronger team now, so Carrera could be more likely to win a big trophy there.
So, even if United had that buyback option, it might not be enough to convince players to return to form part of Reuben Amorim’s team.
