West Ham United reportedly is interested in signing Juventus midfielder Douglas Lewis during the summer transfer.
But they are about to sign players with a loan. According to GMS, the Italian outfit was uninterested in approving the loan move and declined an approach from the London Club. It will be interesting to see if West Ham has decided to put forward an offer to sign him forever.
The report claims there is no finance to pay the asking price to Brazilian midfielders, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. The 27-year-old midfielder has been linked to several Premier League clubs this summer. Returning to England is ideal for him after a mediocre spell with Italian costumes. He was one of the best midfielders in the Premier League during his time at Aston Villa and is sure to improve West Ham.
The London Club needs a midfielder that can protect your defensive units and control the tempo of the game. The Brazilians would have been the ideal acquisition for them. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to arrange funds to secure his signature. He’s going to be a great addition to them.
Lewis is now at the peak of his power, and he aims to return to his best again. He decides to showcase quality at the highest level. Returning to his comfort zone is ideal for him. He was well aware of the Premier League and was able to make an immediate impact.
West Ham had a disappointing season last time, but they need quality players to bounce back strong.
