This is the Mumbai Indians’ fifth consecutive victory in the ongoing IPL 2025, finishing third in the points table with 12 points from their previous 10 games. Previously, MI set a challenging target of 216 after being asked to hit the Super Giants at Lucknow at Wankhede Stadium to first hit.

In response, LSG’s chase fell apart as MI’s star-paced Jasplit Bumra and Torrentball ripped the batting lineup with seven wickets.

After the match, former Indian spinner Piyush Chawla praised Mi’s depth and highlighted the number of match-weiners on the team. The former Mumbai Indian spinner highlighted the influence of players like Ryan Rickelton, Rohit Sharma, Bumura and Will Jax, which noted that each player could turn the game around from top to bottom.

In particular, the Mumbai Indians will face the struggling Rajasthan Royals team at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 1st in the next IPL 2025 Clash. The Royals are poor this season and have only won two of their nine games in the tournament so far.
