Shannon Sharp predicts LeBron James’ future as a Los Angeles Laker.
The Los Angeles Lakers have a big summer before them. After an unfortunate first round exit, the Lakers are about to re-occurrence the entire team around LeBron James.
The big focus is locking down the future of Luka Doncic. Doncic is reportedly trying to sign a short-term extension with the Lakers over the summer to give them the option to sign a big-money deal.
Meanwhile, Austin Reeves will make a $89.2 million decision on his Lakers’ future. One expert predicts that the Lakers will make a massive deal and loads potentially off-road repackages to avoid him leaving for free.
LeBron James played Koi about his intentions to return to the Lakers. But Shannon Sharp doesn’t believe he has a lot to think about.

Speaking on Nightcap, Shannon Sharp talked about LeBron James’ future with regard to the Los Angeles Lakers. He is not worried about the possibility of an exit from James.
Sharp explained that players are not likely to leave the Lakers after joining. He noted that outside Shaquille O’Neill, outside of superstar players like Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabber and Kobe Bryant, they remained on the team until they finished their careers.
“No, I don’t see it. He (LeBron) loves everything in LA. I’m what will he do and go back? You’re playing with Luka.”
“I think I really love the Lakers. I think he loves living in Los Angeles. I think he loves everything about LA. The weather is good all year round. He doesn’t really need to have an overcoat.”
“I know you can get ____ close all year round. You got the water, you got the beach. I mean everything. His business is in LA. There’s really nothing he doesn’t like about LA.”
“Shack really remembers coming here and leaving. Kareem didn’t leave. Wilt didn’t leave. Kobe didn’t leave. The magic didn’t leave…”

LeBron James may be playing at the highest level at just 40 years old. However, it is clear that LeBron’s game is beginning to slow down after years of wear and tears.
James takes away his career every year. Who knows how long the Lakers have had him? If they leverage LeBron’s great production over the next few years, that would be the best.
Along with James and Luka Donsic, the Lakers have a great tandem as the basis for their roster. All they need to do now is to install the right parts on them.
A few strong interior presence, better shooters and wing defenders must be their number one priority for the Lakers this offseason. As LeBron himself said, he and Luke cannot do it all by themselves.
