The Boston Celtics are expected to receive trade offers from Derrick White and Jalen Brown, Shams Charania argues

The Boston Celtics are facing a critical offseason following their disappointing championship defense.

The semi-finals of their Eastern Conference by the New York Knicks exposed key roster concerns demanding immediate attention.

This situation becomes even more complicated by Jason Tatum’s serious injury, and could potentially deny him throughout the upcoming season. This devastating blow forced the Boston front office to consider a dramatic roster change.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the Celtics are accepting trade debate, including the rest of the stars, including Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. The franchise appears willing to explore all options during this upheaval period.

“They are going to potentially get offers from Derrick White and Jalen Brown, and I think they’re going to start out as they appreciate the value-wise meaning between draft and free agency,” Charania explained on the Pat McAfee Show.

The report sent shockwaves throughout the NBA community, causing fans to question Boston’s strategy. Many believe that either player will have the opposite effect given their championship contributions.

Critics argued to move white, offering two-way production for the elite. “Why do they trade assets that are part of their dynasty,” one fan wrote, expressing widespread sentiment.

Several franchise fans have already expressed interest in Boston’s available talent. Denver is proposed as a potential destination for White, and fans imagine him along with Nicola Zhokic in the championship pursuit.

If Denver can land white, that’s the perfect fit.
The brown is even better, but he’s too expensive for them to make that move. But the Clippers should do something to get the brown

Brown has created the buzz as a potential centerpiece in a variety of trade scenarios, including discussions involving Zach Lavine. His versatility and championship experience make him appealing to multiple candidates.

But Boston could first explore other assets moving, such as Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. These veterans can provide pay relief while preserving the Core Championship Foundation.

Some experts believe the Celtics could possibly appear as a serious candidate for Giannis Antetocomo, and they need a substantial asset package for Milwaukee. Such a move would dramatically restructure the construction of the championship timeline and roster.

Boston’s second apron status creates additional financial pressure for meaningful roster changes. The impact of luxury taxes requires strategic decisions regarding long-term pay commitments.

The Celtics need to balance immediate competitiveness with future flexibility while Tatum recovers. Their offseason moves will determine whether they will remain a championship contender or begin a strategic restructuring around the injured superstar.
