The Los Angeles acknowledge that there is a rivalry between them and the San Diego Padres, but that always means more to the latter.

Manager Dave Roberts believes the want to win the weekend series just like the Padres.
“I think that’s one of the things that we place a lot of emphasis on,” Roberts said. “But I think that’s a compliment. Still, they want to beat us more than anything else, so they have to fit their strength.”
