Liverpool is locked up in the signature of the promising left back Milos Kerquez, with Hungary International reportedly fully committed to moving to Anfield
Fabrizio Romano said the 21-year-old has no intention of entertaining offers from other clubs and has revealed that he will focus on joining the Merseyside giants this summer.
The Bournemouth defender appeared on the radar of several European top clubs after an impressive season on the Premier League side.
However, it was Liverpool who acted most decisively, and it is believed that players are now a few days away from completing their move to Anfield.
Milos Kerquez is only interested in participating in Liverpool
Romano provided the update with his X account:
“Milos Kerquez will be joining Liverpool and has not heard any other calls or approaches.
“It’s a matter of time and technical steps.”
Romano’s update shows that the transaction is in its final stages and only technical and contractual procedures remain.
Personal terminology is not expected to be an issue, and Liverpool has already been discussing with Bournemouth about the financial structure of the transfer.
Kerkez’s arrival will be a major addition to Arne Slot’s team as it appears that the new Liverpool boss will rebuild the team after winning the Premier League title.
Arne Slot wants to compete in left-back position
The Reds are keen to bring youthful energy and long-term competition from Andy Robertson.
With his ability to quickly cover the ground and contribute defensively and his final third, he will be tailored to Liverpool’s high-strength system.
Bournemouth defenders are said to be “monsters” because of their ability to contribute to the attack while being a defender.
The Premier League Giants are also confident they will sign Entracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitique ahead of rival Manchester United.
