The have now revealed that he left Sunday’s game with discomfort in his right shoulder. This is the second consecutive start when Glasnow left the game early due to an injury.
Glasnow’s final start against the Texas Rangers was shortened due to leg cramps. The departure on Sunday was clearly something different and perhaps more concerning.
Glasnow left after just 17 pitches. He was warmed before the top of the second, so he was seen shaking his arm. The right-hander gave up on two acquired runs and walks before departing too early.
Manager Dave Roberts said there was no concern that Glasnow’s health is heading for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
“For me and my training staff, there’s no concern about this start,” he said. “He did IV yesterday. Just hydrate his body and all the work to this day is good.”
