According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Dominique Calvert Lewin is eager to join Manchester United this summer as the striker is looking for his next chapter after his departure from Everton.
Calver Trewin, who left Goodison Park as a free agent after his contract expires, views the potential move towards Old Trafford as an exciting prospect and is said to be ready to accept the challenge if an opportunity arises.
Man United is on the market for a new centre, but so far their pursuit of their well-known targets has proven challenging.
Man United failed to land a key target
Attempts to lure Viktor Gyoker and Liam Delap into the club have failed, and the Ruben Amorim aspect is looking for an alternative solution.
Despite signing with Matheus Cunha from the wolves, the need for new strikers has risen at Old Trafford this summer. The Red Devils want a proven goal scorer who can lead the offense and carry the burden of scoring goals.
Offering the opportunity to join Man United this summer, Calvert Lewin is open to the idea of joining the Premier League Giants, as Romano reported.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said:
“What happened at Calvert Lewin is that players were offered to Manchester United, not that Man United started negotiating Calvert Lewin as the new striker.
“Players are offered as free transfer opportunities, experienced, knowing the league and affordable opportunities for players who may be useful to any club.
“So Man United has registered the final cost of the transaction, which clearly means the intentions of the payroll, committee and players.
“But at this point, that’s not a concrete negotiation yet.”
The Red Devils may have concerns about Dominic Calver Trewin
Calvert-Lewin’s availability with free transfers is an interesting option for United, offering Premier League experience and proven physical presence in attacks without the burden of transfer fees.
But United will be worried about one thing. His injury record was not big and he spent quite a lot of time on the treatment table.
His age is ideal and his quality is impressive, but his fitness issues are unified and he may look for other options in the market.
