Aragon Worldsub was Tommy Bridewell’s first race weekend in the official Honda HRC team.
Filled for the injured Iker Lecuona, the debut of Bridewell’s factory Honda World Superbike team saw him in the top 20 in all three races despite a result of 18-19-19 over the weekend.
However, the British rider explained that his satisfaction with the work he did over the weekend was not linked to classification.
“What a wonderful experience to be able to represent the official factory Honda HRC team at WorldSBK,” Bridewell said after Race 2 at Aragon.
“It was a real privilege and, like I said before, this weekend was about learning and understanding bikes.
“We have made great strides in all the races, both emotional and lap time.
“There were still some points that I struggled a little with the senses and feedback, but overall I avoided mistakes and gathered a lot of valuable data, including the various components on the bike.
“I am truly proud of my contribution to it.
“My role is to generate information and a full-race weekend really encourages you to do it.
“We have three good long race feedback right now, which is important for all engineers, both in Japan and Europe.
“We have to take positive things this weekend, continue to improve our bikes and move forward from here.”
Bridewell will return to his usual role at BSB this weekend (October 3-5) in the penultimate round at Alton Park for the 2025 season. He is alongside Dean Harrison, who replaces Andrew Irwin, who was removed from the end of the season after a crash at Donington in early September.
