The New York Knicks will not become a major player in the 2025 draft and will be selected later in the second round.
In the 2025 NBA Draft, the New York Knicks will have to wait until Pick 50. The Knicks do not own the first round pick after swapping for Mikal Bridge’s Brooklyn Net.
And when they prepare to take the second round of flyers, the Knicks are doing their research. According to Hoopsype’s workout tracker, the Knicks bring in two players and are the fewest teams in the NBA.
Let’s take a look at the Knicks Radar players…
- team: Collet Basket
- year: 20
- position: forward
- height: 6 feet 9 inches
- nationality: France
Mohamed Diawara’s physical attributes and younger age make him a very interesting option for a team looking for a player to develop him. He boasts a 7-foot-4-inch wingspan, and last year he won a gold medal with France in a less than 20 eurobasket.
Diawara is passionate about certain aspects of his game. Speaking to Nbadraft.net, he explained: “I think it’s definitely defense. The second question is, I think it’s defense. So if you don’t, you can’t win the game.”
He adds that he is an “all-around player” with a high IQ and works hard to confuse the opponents and use his physical strength to improve his team.

Jonathan Pierre is a US-based prospect, two years older than Diawara and is currently ready to contribute. He attended the G League Elite Camp last month.
He was named to the MVC All Conference First Team in 2025 and followed in the footsteps of Knicks players Landry Shamet and Fred Vanvleet, who made it in 2016-17.
The two players are an interesting option for the Knicks, and the franchise can appear to bring more players to workouts before the NBA draft.
