Los Angeles right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow is determined to pitch in the postseason. In 2024, Glasnow was poised to lead the starting spin in October, but was eventually sidelined by a sprained elbow.

This spring, Glasnow arrived at Camelback Ranch with one goal mindset. To reach that goal in 2025, the right-hander tweaked how he leverages 6-foot-8 frames down the mound and how the front foot is positioned when it becomes a plant before throwing the pitch.
Glasnow made its first start of the 2025 season against the Atlanta Braves at the end of March. He pitched five scoreless innings, allowing eight walks while allowing eight hits and three walks. Glasnow’s performance helped the win a 6-1 victory.
“I think it’s the least I’ve thought mechanically for a long time,” he said afterwards. “I feel athletic and free and good.”
Manager Dave Roberts spoke about the challenges Glasnow faced with his mechanics and how he hoped to avoid bumps this season.
“I don’t think he’s become too mechanical at times to compete for his natural athletic ability and not compete for his outings,” Roberts said. “I think this spring, that’s where he was. He’s been freed more of himself this spring.”
When Glasnow was put into Tests in his season debut, it was clear that the changes he made in CAMP paid dividends.
Glasnow, 31, produced a 3.49 ERA and a 9-6 record in her first season wearing Blue. He pitched a career-high 168 strikeouts in 134 innings. That was the type of performance the wanted when they traded with him and spent $136.5 million on extensions in December 2023.
In 2025, Glasnow wants to replicate another great performance not only in the regular season but also in October.
