Baisangur Susurkaev follows in the footsteps of his teammate Khamzat Chimaev.
Last month, Susurkaev made headlines after winning the contract Candidate Series“Hunter” made his UFC debut just four days later, intervening with Eric Nolan at UFC 319. Susurkaev won the battle with two rounds of submission, and quickly compared himself to his famous teammate Chimaev, three times in his first two months in the UFC.
Well, that’s not that fast, but Susurkaev is still quickly returning to the Octagon as MMA Fighting confirmed he was facing Eric McConico at UFC 322 in November. The matchup was first reported by Real Kevin K.
Susurkaev was undefeated in his career and spent time training with both Chimaev and Kill Cliff FC. The 24-year-old was 10-0, with nine stop wins in his name, winning seven times in the first round.
MMA lab product McConico (10-3-1) joined the UFC in February and was defeated by UFC Seattle’s Nursulton Ruziboev. He rebounded in a split decision victory over Cody Brandage at UFC Vegas 109 last month.
UFC 322 will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 15th and will be headlined by the welterweight title fight between Jacques de Rama Dalena and Islamic Makachev. The co-main event is the women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Zhang Weili.
