Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday after a 2-1 loss to PSG at Park de Princess. As a result, the League 1 champion appeared as a 3-1 winner at Agreath after winning the Emirates last week.
It was a tough night for Arsenal. Arsenal fell behind in the first half with a ferocious strike from Fabian Lewis, so despite David Raya saving Bitinha’s penalty, PSG doubled the lead shortly after Achuraf Hakimi was curled into a far corner.
Despite the total downs of three goals, Arsenal had some faint hope. Bukayo Saka won the net in close range after his first effort was blocked to make it 2-1 in the night. And it could be even better for Mikel Arteta’s part just after their star was given another chance.

Riccardo Carafioli delivered a wonderful cross that was out of reach of Gianluiri Donnaruma, but with his mercy intent, Saka lit up the crossbar’s efforts.
“He’s just coming back. Maybe he just took his eyes off the ball. But it’s a mistake, and it’s absolute… he has to get over it (the ball).”
Arsenal and Saka, chosen for a disappointing performance in last week’s first leg, never know what will happen if the ball finds the net on Saka’s feet, but there’s no doubt that if it gets 3-2 with aggregate at the moment, it’s a 10-fold increase in PSG nerves. Instead, Luis Enrique’s side could see it relatively easily to reach the second Champions League final.
The loss in Paris marks the end of Arsenal’s season in terms of competition, and their sole purpose is to ensure they are not dragged into the race to finish within the Premier League Champions League location.
