Paddy Pimblett wouldn’t have had a better night at UFC 314.
In the biggest battle of his career to date, Pinblett appeared in an impressive way, dominating Michael Chandler in two rounds before finishing with his third ground and pound knockout.
On Wednesday, Pinblett released a behind-the-scenes video blog for his special night in Miami, which turned out to be quite a win-win lap behind the scenes.
Many marquee names either congratulated Pimblett directly or delivered testimonies praised his performance, including UFC CEO Dana White, who was eager to Pimblett’s victory.
“Everyone doubts you,” White said. “Congratulations”
Pinblet also visited Chandler’s locker room and expressed his gratitude to the veterans who fought him.
“Thank you, Mike, for stepping up and sharing the octagon with me,” Pinblett said. “I appreciate it.”
UFC stars Dustin Poirier and Israel Adesanya also compiled Pinblet, and even King Green, the enemy in Pinblet’s recent cage, took him to social media to give Pinblet his flowers.
“I haven’t seen the fight yet, I’m just looking at the highlights,” Green said on his Instagram story. “If they don’t say that, I’ll say it first: you’re a real deal, brother.”
The victory saw Pimblett improve to 7-0 in the UFC, moving to the top 10 (No. 8) of the official promotion rankings for the first time.
