It’s no secret that Michael Comfort’s signature hasn’t panned well for the Los Angeles so far.
Aside from a complete reversal of his form, comfort time as a daily starter quickly ended. The are leading to a small number of outfielders as trade deadlines rush. The lack of production, coupled with injuries to other regulars, has been a real problem so far.
One player who makes ostensibly meaningful as a potential target is Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Brian Reynolds. For years he has been connected with the as someone the franchise is interested in. The Multi-Time All-Star has been the best position player for the Low Pirates over the past few seasons.

It is inevitable that Pittsburgh will sell as usual, and will Reynolds be the one who the can take part in the deal?
In a nutshell, no.
Reporter Noah Heils Pittsburgh Post Gazette Reynolds’ no-trade clause includes six teams, one of which reportedly was the Los Angeles . Others include the San Francisco giants, the San Diego Padres, the New York Yankees, the New York Mets and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Here, given that Pittsburgh is not a contender, there is some irony here, with the aforementioned six teams making a big appearance in the playoff mix this season. Whether it’s taxes or other reasons, the Tennessee native seems to want to avoid playing in California, New York and Canada.
The 30-year-old Reynolds is currently batting .230, with 10 home runs hit 45 runs. He has hit at least 24 homers in each of the last four years.
Traditional wisdom states that Reynolds could potentially raise the level of his play when surrounded by better talent. More than a handful of his advanced metrics tell the story of a man who hits the ball hard. He also suffers from some misfortunes as his XBA is .276. This is nearly 50 points higher than the actual average today.
As Reynolds doesn’t seem to be an option, the have to look elsewhere for help from the outfield.
