The VR46 Ducati Motogp Rider Fabio di Giannantonio said he was suffering from “unexpected” vibrations from his rear tires, preventing the Spanish Grand Prix Sprint.
Introducing the rear tire Michelin in 2024, it led to many manufacturers suffering from vibration problems.
Ducati was the first to follow this, but still seems to be struggling the most in the early rounds of 2025.
However, the issue came due to Fabio Digiannantonio of VR46 in a 12-lap sprint at Geres on Saturday.
“It was actually a tough race,” he said.
“We got some vibrations from the rear that we didn’t expect.
“So it was very difficult, especially in the last four innings, five laps of the race.
“I got off to a good start, I was there, I attacked Maverick, I overtook him, and I think I’m a little faster than Fermin (Aldegu).
“But it was very difficult to move him.
“So, somehow, it was a boring race, because in the end no one was attacking.
“It’s true, we have to work for tomorrow to try and pick up some places, trying to be a man on the move. But I’m good at P6.”
Franco Morbidelli left “worry” after a big crash in FP2
Di Giannantonio’s VR46 teammate Franco Morbidelli experienced a major crash on Turn 3 of FP2 on Saturday morning.
He left the fast spill and managed to start with the fifth time on the grid and finish fourth in the sprint, but he admits he was “really worried” who couldn’t take part in at all.
“I’m glad nothing happened this morning,” he said.
“I made a big crash and I was against the air fence, and I was really worried before the race.
“I had a lot of pain in my neck, but we were able to get the qualifications and repair me enough to make a sprint.
