Los Angeles bailout Yondris Gomez was argued from the exemption Saturday by the Chicago White Sox. The right-handed was designated as a task earlier this week as the called out right-handed pitcher JP Fayerien.

The White Sox have released outfielder Greg Jones to make room for Gomez on a 40-man roster.
Gomez joined Chicago on the season 6.28 ERA and spent time with both the New York Yankees and in 2025.
In three appearances with the , Gomez’s first outing was his only good performance. The right-hander pitched three scoreless innings in a 7-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 27th.
In his final two appearances with LA, Gomez combined seven runners in 1.1 innings to allow him. The 25-year-old joins the White Sox in hopes of turning the corner.
