Former NBA star Dwight Howard enjoys the Dallas Mavericks’ struggle.
The 2024-25 NBA season is full of pain for the Dallas Mavericks fanbase. Since the horrifying Luka Donsic trade, things have continued to move south for the franchise.
If saying goodbye to a generation of superstars wasn’t enough, fans had to witness multiple injuries to players in a rapid and consecutive row last month or so.
So if you keep losing players at this incredible speed, MAV is on the verge of confiscating the game.
Former NBA star Dwight Howard hasn’t played in the NBA for almost six months as he last wore a La Lakers jersey between 2021 and 22.
But Howard has tried many times to get back in the NBA, only to meet the crushed rejection. More recently, the 2020 NBA champion has filmed the podcast route and shared his filtering take on the league’s latest events.
Obviously, Dwight uses his social media platform to share his views on NBA-related topics. Speaking of which, 3X NBA Defensive Player of the Year recently offered an insulting proposal to the struggling Mavericks organization.
“Dallas needs to try out,” Howard wrote on X, followed by a laughing emoji.
With the current situation in mind, it may have been a petition for GM Nico Harrison to offer the lowest veteran role.
After all, Out of Prime Howard helps the franchise avoid the potential embarrassment of the game’s forfeiture.
The Mavericks are currently on a three-game winning streak, hanging in the thread as the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-36 record.
Many are already praying to start from scratch with top lottery picks and starting from scratch, but there are two factors that could keep you competitive enough to compete in the postseason.
First of all, it is the poor form of the Phoenix Suns. Despite having big threes from Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, the Suns were unable to secure a top-10 spot in the meeting. They remain number one after the Lakers and Lakers losses.
Secondly, star forward Anthony Davis may soon return to the team. AD was recently assigned to Mavericks’ G League affiliate. With Davis in good health, the team hopes to make the final push and at least secure a spot for the play-in tournament.
